DVS Member Per Høgmo

Per Høgmo is the proud owner of this race inspired 1964 Beetle.

I think it must be 12 years ago that Per desided that the car needed a repaint, and tucked it away in his garage. Now it is finally back on the street again!   

There will be added more power soon to justify the look!

Yes, if you like to have a Beetle that's stuck to the road when cornering hard.
 
Per replaced the original rear torsion bars with new ones from Porsche 912. Original rubber had to make place for urethane. A set of Saab V4 Monte Carlo shock absorbers takes the beating!    
 
In the fron there's a Puma beam with Porsche 924 Turbo camber compenator and short shock absorbers.

You can't go wrong with Fuchs. 15x 7" wide Fuchs at the rear with 195/50x15 tyres, and a pair of 15x6" in front with 185/55x15 tyres.  

A Springalex GT steering wheel from 1963 and a Hurst shifter is all you need!
